The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills – Birthday Bonanza’s

Taylor’s daughter is turning 4, so obviously it’s time for her to get her first piece of diamond jewelry. The diamond Barbie necklace is nice, but I’m pretty sure the kid would have rather had an actual Barbie doll. Or even $1,650 worth of Barbies!

Taylor may have the necklace, but Lisa has an actual life-sized Malibu Barbie dream house, complete with her very own Ken.

Across the street at Adrienne’s its complete anarchy. She says that raising children is more difficult than running a multi million dollar company. I bet a lot of moms out there felt good about that comment. It scared the shit out of me.

Is that plastic wrap still on those chairs?

Camille is stressing out over the enormous task of telling her house manager what to pack in her suitcase, and then waking up to catch the plane that will take her to her mansion in Hawaii. Oh, this poor woman. No wonder she has irritable bowls.

Taylor is planning her upscale classy ladylike kids birthday party. She orders tea sandwiches, fancy chocolates, red velvet cake and all those good things that she children like.

This is awesome and I want one.

Back on planet earth Kyle is also planning her daughter’s birthday party. She will be serving french fries, mac and cheese, and no alcohol. Aww, I bet her kids are gonna be so upset they missed out on those tea sandwiches and Champaign!

Over in Hawaii Camille is doing what she does best:

I don’t know how she managed to keep Kelsey sober. Just the thought of having to live with this insufferable woman is driving me to crack open a bottle of Pinot right now.

Housewife Fun Fact: Ramona and all her friends have this same bikini.

Lisa is also celebrating her birthday. It is a freakishly normal and down to earth event considering what show she is on. I guess this is what happens when you have a lot of money and don’t have anything to prove.

Lisa and her husband go on a tour of the Music Institute with their son. The guide shows them the 24/7 all night music studios which are available to the sober kids who are just high on adrenaline till 5am.

Kim and her daughters can’t figure out how to turn the oven on. Her youngest suggests she call 411 and ask them how to work it. That was about all there was of Kim in this episode.

Now onto the birthday parties:

Ok, now I have something to say about this….
I’m not knocking Taylor’s house. It isn’t small… and I’m sure it cost a lot of money considering it’s location. But if your house is 3 feet from your neighbor’s house with a one car garage and no front yard and you have $60k to blow, wouldn’t you use that money towards a mortgage on a bigger home rather than a party that lasts a couple of hours? This is the way I see it: If you don’t have a private jet or a second home, then you don’t have enough money to spend $60k on a birthday party. Just sayin….

Taylor shows Kennedy her party and the kid is less than impressed by the fancy table decorations. She just wants to play on the swing. I think we all learned from Milania in Italy that kids don’t like “eat parties”.

Kennedy is sent off with the nanny while Taylor takes pictures and tries out the alcohol station.

Remember all those nice flower decorations Taylor was ordering? They were for the adult table:

This is the birthday girl’s table. $60k and the kids are sitting on plastic chairs. And they couldn’t even be bothered to stick a bow on every chair. Really Taylor?
Update: I have just been informed that there are green bows on every other chair. But I can’t see them! Do you see green bows in this picture?? (Still doesn’t change the fact that she spent $60k and got plastic chairs from Walmart)

The kids are sent off to play in the dirt so that they don’t disrupt the birthday party.

Taylor makes a toast to… herself! Of course. She is the one who had to suffer through 9 months of pregnancy and then push the kid out, so really, she is the one everybody should be celebrating, not the kid who -let’s face it- really didn’t do anything.

Kyle’s party looked awesome. I’m a grown up (supposedly) and I would love a party like that!

OMG ducks!! I love ducks!!

Bouncy House!

Mauricio sings Portia’s birthday song in Spanish to pay tribute to her Mexican heritage.

Back at Taylor’s celebration of excess they drag the kids out of the dirt long enough to give Kennedy her cake and make her listen to some crappy song written for her while she covered her ears and cried. I wonder if she will be forced to listen to that song at every party, or if she will get a new one each year?

Russel got his daughter a dog, she was finally happy, and he actually seemed normal and not so awful in this episode. Taylor was pissed that he took attention away from her diamond Barbie necklace gift that she was trying to impress all her friends Kennedy with.

Next week Camille is still insane and Kyle calls her on it. Can’t wait!

Once again, another great recap. I’m not disappointed I missed that party. Didn’t have a thing to wear as my fairy wings are at the cleaners.

  2. Tracey w/ an 'e' says:

Great recap! RCH I think you need four nannies, an assistant plus a house manager. I need you to get these recaps out faster! I’m addicted! I keep checking the site waiting for my next ‘fix’.

    • I didn’t even know there was such a thing as a house manager. What do they do exactly? What is going on in your home that you need someone to manage it? Or are they just the person that oversee’s the gardeners, nannies, and cleaning staff so that you don’t have to actually talk to them? (Not you Tracey – but just “you” in general)

      • Tuzentswurth says:

RCH, Clearly you aren’t paying attention. You have a house manager so that they can flip the electric switches before you get there and decide who’s hot tub needs heated. Also if the gardener or someone does something you like, you tell the manager or your assistant to tell them “thank you”. I know this is very stressful and a lot to learn but as your fabulosity grows, you will need to know this stuff, or no, wait, hire someone to do it for you because thinking is sooo hard.
Now a ?…. Do you think Camille really loves to help people and give back, or is it more of a situation that Camille LOVES to feel superior to people? Please, somebody smack that self-absorbed, over-bearing, condescending, patronizing, clueless, dumb broad. I’d do it, but I’m too busy gagging.

        • Camille just loves to help people so she can be told how wonderful she is. If she really cared about helping, she wouldn’t have told the world that her best friend was homeless and didn’t even have a car to sleep in. And when you have 25 houses and 82 cars, is really all the generous to let someone borrow one? I think that’s the equivalent of a regular person claiming to be generous for letting their friend borrow a pen.

          • Tuzentswurth says:

LOL! Great analogy!!! A Pen!!!! roflmfao
I’m generous, I’ve done that!! Love to help my poor penless friends….ain’t I nice?

            • You are so nice. Really amazingly nice!

              • housewifeaddict says:

Oh – I thought a house manager was someone who supervised someone else to put fruit in separate bowls.

                • Meeshell says:

Clearly you all didn’t watch the Real Housewives of Atlanta Season One carefully enough. In one episode, DeShawn Snow is interviewing people to hire as a house manager and explains what the duties of a house manager are. I don’t remember exactly what she says, but something along the lines of how they do all the firing of people, and manage all the other workers, so she only has to tell one person what to do, who can then tell the others.

      • Iris says:

Yes, that is what a house manager does plus makes sure the refrigerator is full and then sends someone to deliver what they need.

    • Sardonica says:

      I need a blog /Twitter manager

  3. Waxdiva says:

I’m amazed that Camille actually made it to her spot of tranquility in Hawaii… the one where she can mingle with the natives… where she finds peace for her soul…the gated one. I’m amazed, as Camille had to struggle to put a pen in her hand, curl her fingers around it, make the pen sit on paper and then write all the instructions for her house manager. Whew!! Kudooz to Camille.

    • Tuzentswurth says:

She must not have figured out yet that she could hire someone to think of all those details for her and then hire someone that she could tell to write the instructions down. Then she could claim 50% more work than anyone else. She must not be good at math.

  4. there are bows on all the kids chairs lol they are green u have to look close, also the party wasnt held at her house remember? taylor said she had it else where. but yes glad u mentioned how the party was more for taylor than it was for her daughter how selfish.. notice on the toast how she said she is glad that kennedy is apart of her life?

    • I know the party wasn’t at her house, but what green bows are you talking about? Am I blind?!!??? Lol

      • Kip says:

you can barely see them but they’re there.

        • Tuzentswurth says:

Well, if they are there, some party diva should be fired b/c they don’t show up. Gees, I remember when $60,000 got you something!
Also professional party planners, did you not ever hear that the rule of thumb for small children is the same number of guests as the child’s age? Umm, that would be 4, to make it an actual party that a 4 year old could understand. Most mom’s know that Taylor, I think you got ripped off. RCH, spot on, invest in a better house LOL

      • LynnnSoCal says:

The party was at the Houdini Estate..whatevs. The bows are alternating pink and green which seems to blend into grass and shadow. What planet is this blowfish on? She didn’t think of her child’s wishes at all. That poor little girl. Then there’s Camelto3! Insufferable, plastinated narcissist. She’s such a sleazebag! I’m unable to find one genuine thing about her. Gag hag. Lisa is a delight! Thanks for your weekend of wit. I was jonesing too, Aloha

        • For such an expensive place, you’d think they would at least have grass, no? The majority of the “estate” looked like dirt and dust and stones. She should have held it in Adrienne’s back yard, it would have been nicer and free too.

  5. Kip says:

Taylor’s party for herself, I mean her daughter, was ridiculous. I can’t even comment further than that. I find Russell to be a bore, totally. I love Lisa and her family but really she thinks there will be no drugs at the music institute? I laughed over that one.
Kim- totally forgettable. She’s out of her league with the rest of the girls including her sister. Camille- can she really be this dense? Can she really believe that her life is so hard and that she works 30% more than the others? She’s in for a rude awakening…I hope. I just read that both of Mauricio’s parents were from Europe I believe and that he’s not Mexican afterall which is strange. Love the show!

  7. Daisy says:

Okay…..Taylor is intolerable. Russell is stupid for hanging on. I actually think he would be okay, he just married the wrong girl. Taylor is truly disturbed psychologically. Unlike Kim, I think she is beyond any medical intervention actually.

Camille is unwatchable. She is majorly intellectually disabled. The way she talks and kind of laughs makes me want to slap her. Don’t feel a bit sad that she got dumped. Good for Kelsey, I think better of him now. She needs a big ol’ slice of humble pie, because she really is NOT as cute as she think she is. The sooner she learns that, the better for her.

I feel very sorry for Kim. I imagine having such a low self-esteem would be a very hard thing to handle in Beverly Hills, especially when you are part of the crowd but always pushed to the outside. There are some very deep-seeded issues that she needs major counseling to get over.

I like Kyle and the way she handles her family. I want her hair :). Not a whole lot to say, because she’s pretty much normal. I am really excited to see her serve up some humble pie to Camille.

And I really like Lisa. She would fit in with my group of friends, that is, if we had that much money. I think she is old enough and wise enough to be over herself, and that is fun to watch.

I like Adriene too, but she’s done some things to her face that make me wonder what is really going on with her. She looks like the Muppet Janice. Everyone I know who has full access to plastics and botox, in fact, ends up looking like that. On top of the Muppet look, Taylor went ahead and let the surgeon slap her in the face with a catfish.

I’ve never had any of that done to me and seeing these women (in all cities) with gobs of makeup on and still looking like a Muppet is enough for me to decide against it. I’ll fight my wrinkles with serums and anti-aging skin regimens and take whatever God gives me.

    • Oh speaking of muppet faces, has anyone tried StriVectin-WF deep wrinkle filler? I just got some in a sample kit when I bought something else, and I really like it. I don’t really have wrinkles yet, but I’m starting to see warning signs due to the facial expressions I can’t seem to stop myself from making. I was thinking of getting Botox for prevention, but I really like this StriVectin stuff. Plus I can kinda feel it on my skin, so when I try to make a scrunchie forehead face it reminds me not to.

      • klmh says:

Sorry, the articles I’ve read about Stri Vectin were not favorable. They didn’t find it helped at all.
The only thing that works, at least in the articles I’ve read, is Retin A, and it can be really strong on the face, even at 5%. And you can only get it with a prescription from your physician.

      • Daisy says:

I have not tried strivectin. I am using clinque’s laser focus and youth surge moisturizer and so far I really like them. I can tell it is at least reversing sun damage and my skin is more plump. I have also used fresh black tea anti-aging cream, and it worked well, but it started smelling like pickles, and at $95 a bottle…not worth it. Clarins multi-active serum is also really good and smells great.

My neighbor had Botox injections, and looked like she had horns coming out of her forehead. It was hilarious.

        • Lumpy forehead… this is what I am afraid of. Botox scares me.
Clinique sounds good. I think I will try that. Sun damage reversal is what I need! I’ll slather it on right after I get out of the tanning bed. Lol.

          • Tuzentswurth says:

Retin A will take care of sun damage. Get a script from a Dr and don’t bother wasting money on overpriced OTC creams. Even Retin A will take several months to repair the damage, but it works. You’re gorgeous, stay away from botox too. We love you just the way you are! lol

      • vgirl511 says:

I just got Botox for the first time, and I have to say I am VERY happy with it. I had an ’11’ on my forehead that no cream would help. I just had it done last week, and wow, what a difference. I have also been using Retin A for about 6 weeks. It was prescribed for me due to breakouts every month (I am 44 but still breaking out!) Apparently Retin A is prescribed for acne too, but it also has anti-aging properties. After only 6 weeks I already see a difference. My skin tone is much better, pores appear smaller, and it feels smoother. It does cause some peeling and reddness at first, but it is so worth it for the results!

        • Good to know. I’m still afraid of Botox, but I def wanna try this Retin A.

          • kmuellfa says:

Paula’s choice skincare is the best you can get without a prescription.
She’s the one who wrote “Don’t go to the Cosmetics Counter Without Me”. Real studies and science are behind her line, and she also objectively rate other lines.
Any Retin A not from a doctor has to be the proper pH for it to work on the skin. I have rosacea so I can’t use it. I use BHA from her line, and people regularly think I am 29/30. ( I am 38)
            JMHO

          • Tuzentswurth says:

Yes, you need the prescription Retin A. It turns your skin cells over more rapidly, thus bringing fresh cells to the surface and sloughing off all those old nasty cells on the surface. *Sigh*, eventually though, with luck, we will get old and those who love us won’t mind the “character” that shows in our faces. (I hope, cause I’m gettin’ there!)

          • klmh says:

Also, as I mentioned above, this is a process. It takes a while and during that time your face will be peeling, at least mine did, for weeks. It made my face feel sunburned as well. You can minimize with a good cream though.
This stuff is powerful and you can overdo it easily, especially with a lovely complexion that you look to have, so be careful and use just a smig…

  8. Daisy says:

Forgot the most important part of the post…

    Great recap!!!! Love it.

  9. Kelly says:

Great recap but no comment on creepy old guy in the hot tub??

    • Meh… I don’t think he’s old, he’s prob the same age as Camille just without all the work done. She just keeps him around because he clearly wants to bang her and she loves watching his desperate yet fruitless attempts to impress her. She could pay people to follow her around all day and tell her how wonderful she is, but she gets an extra trill when someone does it for free.

  10. Miss Anthrope says:

    😦 Oh Taylor….

Am I the only one who gets sad when watching/analyzing this girl? She married someone who NOBODY seems to like and who doesn’t give a rats ass about her feelings (been there, thank God I didn’t marry him!) and stays with him in order to maintain her ridiculous lifestyle. She seems really afraid to exert any type of control in the relationship. I feel bad for her because she doesn’t seem to be a horrible bitch or anything. She’s just sooooooo insecure and lost. I think she throws these stupid parties and injects her lips etc in some strange and deluded attempt to get people to like her…or at least pay attention to her. So sad.

I might be in the minority here but I really don’t like Kyle very much. She seems very bossy and I think she is a big part of Kims problem, honestly. Kim can’t do anything right in Kyles eyes and she has no problem letting her know it. That’s gotta be tough. She’s supposed to support her and instead she just drags her down with the constant criticisms and demands.

Camille is an attention whore. Nothing more, nothing less. The fact that she takes complete credit for Kelseys sobriety is ridiculous. Listen Camille, I had to get a court order and send a family member to rehab (for a 4th time) against their will. To my surprise, it actually worked. But I don’t run around taking credit for their sobriety. Nobody stays sober unless they want to. Holding on to that complex is idiotic at best. You provided him with some arm candy to walk the red carpet with and a warm vagina at night. Let’s not get crazy. You aren’t his personal savior.

I’m sorry but parading around in a bikini and literally begging a man to tell you how hot you are is not what a faithful wife does. That’s just odd and kind of sickening. I’m not saying she had full on affairs behind Kelseys back, but it wouldn’t surprise me if she did. Her actions are not indicative of faithfulness at all.

    • I agree, I don’t think Taylor is a bad person, just incredibly insecure and desperate.
I disagree about Kyle. I really like her. She is more patient than I would be if Kim were my sister. Kim is older and maybe Kyle feels burdened by having to take care of her? I would. Kim is exhaustingly needy.
Camille – I agree again. Those are not the actions of a faithful woman. Espec last ep (which I didn’t recap) with the trainer, and the naked bets, him showing up in Vegas, and them having their hands all over each other… Makes me feel kinda less bad for her with the whole Kelsey/cheating thing. Look how she was acting while he was gone!

      • Tracy (w/out an 'E') aka mscarp says:

Camille was/is absolutley banging the hot trainer guy, who’s supposedly Kelsey’s friend. When she left the Vegas party early, she met up with him for a tryst, I’m certain. I don’t feel sorry for her in the least bit in regards to Kelsey’s cheating either. I DO feel sorry for the house manager and the nannies who have to listen and smile politely when she whines about how “busy” she is. Puh-leeze. I really hope they are making enough money to warrant such abuse from a vapid, horrid woman.

        • I’m sure they are paid well. I can totally picture Kesley slipping each of them and extra huge bonus check behind Camille’s back on Christmas and being like “I’m so sorry, thank you for not quitting”. Lol. I think a lot of people would put up with her shit to get free room and board in an amazing house and free vacations to Hawaii while they store all their paychecks away in the bank. Plus you know those young nannies are throwing house parties in the empty houses on their days off!

    • housewifeaddict says:

I’m finding it hard to like Kyle – simply because of the way she treats Kim.

      • klmh says:

I agree. She knows Kim has some mental problems but can be cruel to her at times on film, especially when around other women. I hope she can analyze her actions and reactions and tone it down a bit. Watching her behavior to her sister might wake her up and let her see how sharp and crass she can be at times to Kim. Hope so anyway.

  11. surfergirlcut says:

    omg how friggen perfect…love it

  12. Shari says:

When did Camille and Kelsey break up? Wasn’t he on an episode with her?

    • They broke up after filming.

    • Tuzentswurth says:

Looked to me like he knew he was splitting in that first episode. If you watch, he comes in, the kids run to him and he greets them but doesn’t go near Camille and really avoids any eye contact with her or much interaction. Methinks that he encouraged her to go on the show much like breaking up with someone in a restaurant. Maybe figured she would try to hold her dignity in front of the cameras, be less of a problem etc. He drives off waving and yelling “Bye”, like yippee…I’m so outa here! It will be interesting to see how things play out next week when she shows up in NYC. She had no clue at this point but I think he was long gone in his mind. Try to catch that ineraction in their kitchen in the first episode if you can.

      • Shari says:

Thanks, I’ll see if I can find the episode online as I only know what happens on the show via this blog. (I don’t get that Bravo anymore)

        • vilzvet says:

The timeline of the show seems to be spring right now, didn’t Kyle mention Easter as their visit to the Palm Springs house? And we know Camille filed for divorce on July 1st I believe? Obviously the sh*t hit the fan sometime during June perhaps because she mentioned the Tony Awards which are in June. Which means Kelsey met the new woman and already knocked her up quickly because she just recently miscarried and was months along. Yikes!

      • Tracy (w/out an 'E') aka mscarp says:

I’m thinking he also knew how horribly Camille would come off to viewers, so he felt like even though his reputation might take a hit for his infidelity (which was probably already happening, cuz I know I’d cheat on that witch), her atrocious personality would balance out any ill will from his fans.

        • Tuzentswurth says:

I agree, getting to see her in action, seeing her personality, he cleverly exposed her for the tiresome poser that she is and makes his actions almost defensible. Totally took the focus off of him as a callous jerk that left his poor devoted wife. Now he seems like a saint for living with her for 13 years. He obviously had to leave or would have had to start drinking again or maybe doing heroin. lol

  13. Tuzentswurth says:

Adrienne and Lisa are, to me, likable and and genuine people. They aren’t impressed by their money, it just is how it is and they don’t have to shout it from the rooftops to impress anyone. They actually do work hard, they seem capable of raising normal children with values and despite Lisa’s son’s difficulties (which are not out of the ordinary), I hope he eventually lands on his feet b/c he seems to have been given a good solid foundation and is loved very much by his family. Good luck to him, he should find his niche.

  14. Adgirl says:

I never saw anyone wear any of the Barbie necklaces. I don’t believe they were purchased. Or maybe Russell forgot to pick them up on his way to PetSmart to buy the puppy.

    • Tuzentswurth says:

How about the scene where Taylor is being dramatic about something , talking to Russell and he just tuned and walked away from her. They were at the end of the table I think, don’t remember what her silly little head was going on about, but he was rudely dismissive of her. What a contradiction, she is a huge narcissist with extremely low self-esteem (or has a high tolerance for being treated like shit for money).
And wow, he is a jerk.

      • WindyCityWondering says:

I don’t think Russell really wanted to be part of this goat rodeo and therefore refuses to get caught up in Taylor’s BH fantasy.

        • Daisy says:

Totally agree. Russell acts like any of our men would act if we plastered our married lives on TV. I don’t think he’s a jerk because I don’t think my husband is a jerk. My darling generous husband would act the same way if I put him through that. He would treat me like an alien life form if I were to act pretentious and fake. I like Russell , I do not like Taylor.

  15. ilovelynn says:

thanks rch, waiting for your recap all weekend. worth the wait! btw, is it just my screen or is everybodys respones running into each other?

  16. ilovelynn says:

oops! now it’s ok, must have been just my screen.

  17. SavingGrace357 says:

I’m still wondering who that strange man was that Camille got in the hottub with? Why not just go swimming but to get in the hot tub? Strange.

I did feel sorry for Camille before the show started because of how Kelsey left her but honestly she is simply too much for me to take. I no longer feel sorry for her. I wonder if this was Kelsey’s plan all along. She does not come off as sympathetic.

And why can’t see look at the camera in her Talking Heads? She looks at the came sideways and is almost trying to duck the camera.

    • vilzvet says:

She mentioned in her Bravo blog he is basically one of Kelsey’s oldest friends.

    • Tracy (w/out an 'E') aka mscarp says:

I would really love to know what the person interviewing her in the talking heads shots actually thinks of Camille. Do you think they have a bucket nearby so they can barf when she’s finished talking?

  18. WindyCityWondering says:

Thanks for the photo recap! This episode was jam packed with BH silliness.
Taylor gets the prize for being so out of touch with her daughter that it was painful to watch! And the photographer was there for HER not her daughter – did she ever do any modeling?
Love Lisa, Kyle and Adrienne! Their comments crack me up. They like their lives and families and are having fun (and not at anyone else’s expense).
Camielle and her endless “auditioning” is really grating on my nerves! She is so superficial and insipid. Her desperation to have any self worth or relevance is sad to watch.
And the less I see of Kim the better. She always looks like she is going to cry, scream or bolt from the room. She so doesn’t want to be on this show and makes no effort to interact with the others.

  19. Tuzentswurth says:

    http://m.people.com/bb/newsitem.rbml?item=20439856

Saw this posted on Lynn’s by Jen. Maybe this explains something. PTSD?

    • bacasam says:

Thanks for the link. Wow, realize this was some time ago, but the picture took me back as I realized she is smiling and seems like an entirely different person with a twinkle in her eye and happy smile. Now I’m wondering why Kyle would allow her to sign on to RHBH knowing the whole history.

      • Tuzentswurth says:

Kyle doesn’t have any power over what Kim does. I think it is in her blog that Kyle says that all three sisters promised their mother that they would all take care of each other. Kim isn’t incompetent, I just think she is a bit shell shocked at present as she finds herself in yet another stressful situation and seeing this past history of trauma, I understand her better. I still think she may have a closet drinking problem.

        • vilzvet says:

The story is sad, but to me it kinda doesn’t make alot of sense that Kim was just recently out of her marriage at the time (was her divorce even final?), had a one year old baby and had JUST GIVEN BIRTH to her son according to her bio when she met this guy. I can’t even fathom it how a huge love affair had begun…

Awesome recap! Thanks for the laughs. I just noticed those wine glasses in the 2nd screencap are freaking HUGE!

and poor little Kennedy….having the worst party of her life….thank goodness Daddy saved the day with the puppy.

  22. JenD says:

I think Taylor and Russell are smart people. They don’t want to be a slave to their mortgage. They would rather spend money
on everything else, that’s the route i would go. They probably won’t lose their home anytime soon…i think?

  23. pantsonfire says:

Back to the wrinkle remedies….Bio-oil. ten bucks a bottle you can slather it all over your face. It evened out my skin tone, is erasing a deep wrinkle and I used it initially on a breast scar that was over 20 years old- it disappeared! It also got rid of the dark circles under my eyes. I have really dry skin, and it isn’t oily. I love it and have tries alot of expensive crap.

  24. Tam5115 says:

Taylor’s party was ridiculous! Kennedy was obviously not impressed, not happy and generally oblivious to what it was supposed to mean. A four year old girl does not need a diamond, ever. The puppy was more appropriate, but really? Who is going to train the puppy and take care of it? Certainly not a four year old. It was downright embarrassing to see such a display of such a waste of money and social climbing attempts.

Kyle’s party was much better. Of course Portia isn’t going to remember the party, but Kyle is right about it being a family event. That’s how you do a child’s birthday if you have the money to rent a petting zoo. What fun!

  25. pantsonfire says:

I started seeing results after a week- ten days. It just got better!

  26. Tam5115 says:

I’m gonna wander a bit here but please humor me.

I Spy at Taylor’s party, Linda Thompson. I’m starting to think the world gets smaller and smaller. I know it was mentioned here that Linda used to be married to Bruce Jenner, but she was first known as Elvis’ girlfriend in the 70’s.

Anyway, I was at Netflix and browsing reality shows. I had never seen an episode of the Kardashian show, so I thought, how bad can it be? Turned out that I did enjoy the show. In one episode, Bruce’s son Brody showed up and I knew I knew him. Google to the rescue and he is not only Bruce and Linda’s son, he was the jackass Brody on The Hills!

I already knew that Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob were the children of Kris and Robert Kardashian. Robert was one of OJ Simpson’s inner circle and sat with him at the defense table. If you don’t remember, check out video of when the “not guilty” verdict was read. Robert is priceless! Mouth agape he looks around in complete shock that OJ has been acquitted. Kris of course was one of Nicole Brown Simpson’s best friends.

I’m hearing spooky music in my head.

    • I never knew that Kris was friends with Nicole Simpson. Interesting.
It’s funny because I remember when Brody’s mom was on an episode of the Hills I saw her face and was totally shocked by what she looked like. I thought for sure she must have a law suit against whoever did that to her. Then when I saw Taylor I thought “OMG there are two of them!” and then 2 episodes ago it turned out that they were friends with each other and then it all made sense.
This is what I want to know – with all their money and connections, how come these women can’t afford a better plastic surgeon??? Ramona gets tons of botox and fillers and you really can’t tell. People make fun of Jac’s frozen expression but I think she looks pretty good. Maybe a little frozen, but not fake. I just don’t understand why these Beverly Hills women can’t get the same kind of treatment they receive in North Jersey.
Pay attention to Camille’s face next time she is on screen. She has no wrinkles on her forehead except at the very very top, like they missed a spot or something. It looks crazy. I almost did a screen shot of it.

      • Tracy (w/out an 'E') aka mscarp says:

Thank you, RCH, I totally noticed the forgotten wrinkle and wondered how it was missed.

      • Tam5115 says:

There are tons of pictures out there of Kris and Nicole with other friends and even OJ and Nicole on vacation with Robert and Kris. Kris was always stunning like Nicole.

As for the plastic surgery, I think some of them get too much. And some have gone risky and gotten home botox that failed miserably. See, Priscilla Presley. It’s tragic really. I mean, did you see what Heidi from The Hills did to herself? She’s in her 20’s and already looks like these other women.

    • Tuzentswurth says:

I hadn’t thought of Linda Thompson for years, I remember the history of this narcissist well also. I agree about the plastic surgery, maybe she was smart enough to go into hiding but recently seeing what apparently passes as acceptable, we will again have to endure this insipid wannabe. She’ll prob be pitching her own reality show soon. Coincidentally, Elvis’ ex, Priscilla also suffered unfortunate results (but actually realizes it) from her attempts to look “forever 25” (never gonna happen ladies). Seriously, have they NEVER heard of board certification? I was shocked that Sonya was so trusting of the surgeon she visited, Ramona was a skeptic and apparently wants credentials…that is probably why she looks sooo good.

      • Tracy (w/out an 'E') aka mscarp says:

Agreed re: Priscilla Presley, who was soooo beautiful that her current face is sad. 😦 Shows like RHoBH further solidify my resolve never to live in Southern CA. If these women had stuck with their God-given faces they would all most certainly be better off, or better looking at least. Ramona looks amazing and should definitely be used as a primer on doctor/clinician aided facial care.
As far as the Hills/Kardashian cross-over, I sadly could compose a Family Tree of the Kardashian/Brody/Jenner lot and boy is it bizarre. I mean, Kris Jenner talks often of having been friends with Nicole Brown, so I wonder how weird it was for her when her ex-husband became one of OJ’s “dream team” attorneys, and then to know that he helped facilitate an acquittal? Strange, though if you watch Robert Kardashian’s face when the verdict was read, he didn’t looked too pleased by the win. But I digress…

      • Tam5115 says:

Sorry, didn’t see this when I replied above. Yeah, Priscilla went to some botox party I thought and the guy who did it wasn’t even a doctor iirc!!

        • Tam5115 says:

I could go on for days about the OJ debacle. They not only thought he was guilty, they KNEW he was guilty. Didn’t matter, especially to Cochran. He was hired to do a job and he would stop at nothing to do it.

Most telling really is that even AC, Al Cowlings, distanced himself from OJ after the acquittal.

Kris and Robert were already divorced by the time of the murders. Kris has even talked about it on the show she does, that it was a very difficult time for them to remain on good terms. Robert felt obligated to believe in and stand by his friend at the time… but it did ruin his life. I believe his fiance left him over it. Kris was beside herself with grief over Nicole and was angry of course.

  27. Sardonica says:

So I went through my withdrawal and the 12 step program and NOW you are back peddling my drug of choice? I must resist. NOT
    1) I still feel sorry for Kim. She tells us she is uncomfortable yet we want her to act comfortable. I think Kyle pushed her to do this for Kim’s sake but I am not sure if it will work. Bravo doesn’t seem to be on Kim’s side. She makes me kind’a sad
    2) I still like Kyle and her husband but Bravo is pushing them as the ‘good guys’ so who knows? Beware Kyle… you may be the next JZ ( ack, hurts to even type that )
    3) I love Lisa and Ken. Typical fun Brits and they almost seem to have some sense which is unusual for a RH couple. Only have seen it in Alex and Simon so far. Good marriage vibes on them.I also hereby retract my bi-Ken statement from epi 1. All statements are subject to change. Another thing. This music school and the ‘drug issue’ I think the bin outside the restrooms looks like a used needle safety bin disguised as a Purell dispenser. Only my opinion. I loved the answer of ‘this school has a strict wahtever it was he said anti-drug policy’ Like derrrrrrrr. We don’t often hear, ” Why yes, drugs are not only allowed on our campus but we encourage our students to experiment with them” only place that ever happened was at Naropa (Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics ). side note: Read a good book about 1 kid’s experience there. Almost as good as RH, mind you… almost. The beat generation can never come close to the surrealistic experience I achieve every Thursday…sometimes Tuesday. Whenever fickle Bravo is playing RH shows these days. Jack Kerouac had nothing on these people. Who needs acid when you can stare at this crap, errm I mean delightful programming! It is indeed almost poetical and true art esp when we see the price tags om items…sigh
    4) Adrienne. I thought she wasn’t all that comfy natural with her kids? Maybe it was me and the fact I was put off my the ” I don’t cook comment’ I think if someone eats they need to know how to cook. Not a gender issue. Applicable to both. Dad isn’t all that ‘kiddie komfy’ either. Look at Maurico ( or however you spell it ) and his kids
    5) Taylor…what to say? Bravo does not like her and that kid’s party was sad. At least Taylor almost had a good time and it was pretty! She said her parents always gave her ( only child ) a great party every year. Is this the problem? Taylor has yet to grow up and her child will suffer for it? Also the toast disturbed me. Her child, not ‘ours’ when her husbad was standing right beside her. I kept hoping she would include Russell in on the day. What kind of family is that one? Not good…sad, esp for the child. Am I the only one who is giving this Russell guy a chance? He works hard and doesn’t seem to be yanked into the BH scene. That could be a good thing. Maybe he makes good money and is going with the taylor flow. Last week when he suggested dinner to Taylor during the Vegas thing he seemed to be watching her drink too much and was maybe doing that “I have your back” you need food before you make a bigger fool of yourself than you already have. Bravo likes these women making fools of themselves. maybe I am looking for a good guy here?
    6) Camille. I have no idea. Either she is that pathetically insensitive or Kelsey ( you do know she is her husbnd, dont’cha? ) is in cahoots with Bravo in order to have something in his favor to bring to court
Re: all of you are worrying so much about your wrinkles that you will give yourself wrinkles. Eat well, get enough rest and enjoy your life and you will be fine without playing into the hands of Madison Avenue. Never allow popel to tell you that you lose value becasue of a wrinkle? aging? I mean come on, play with looking good,, have fun with it but do not NEED it to feel good about yourself. You are being sold a bill of goods which you can never pay. Common sense and knowing who you are. Screw the media esp Bravo. Please do not be robots like these women. Use these shows as a course in how NOT to be in life. Botox is a poison and why put a poison in your body if it doesn’t include MSG? Oh wait, alcohol is also a poison. Nevermind.
P.S. I do not use spellcheck ( for wimps ) and I do not proofread ( also wimpidom )
Warning: Alcohol or any other mind altering substance was not used in the writing of this post. I find this scary. Very scary indeed

    • LOL. Well it wasn’t very hard to drag you back in now was it? Glad to see that 12 step program worked out for ya.
I kinda agree with you on Russel. I didn’t like him in the beginning, but now I’m starting to feel bad for him. Taylor is all “I have to do what Russel says” but when he wanted to leave in Vegas she didn’t tell him she wanted to stay, she got up right away. So….
And did you see the way she talked to him when he asked her if they could eat yet at the party? I don’t know if I’m buying the “Russel controls me” story anymore. And maybe he works so much because he has to work extra hard to pay all her bill. He doesn’t look like the kind of guy who cares about designer clothes, fab parties, or social climbing.

    • Tuzentswurth says:

Nice to see you kitty! LOL, great post, you hit so many points so well. Kerouac references cracked me up. I only disagree on one point. When you are as rich as Adrienne, screw learning to cook if you don’t want to. She’ll always get fed.
You deliver a very good scolding about obsessing (or is it obessing) over wrinkles and I agree. We’re gonna age folks, best to do it without ending up looking like the Joker! I’m scared of that poison shit in the face too and those bizarre large-mouthed bass lips are never attractive, they look like a deformity. That brings me to the question, what the hell is wrong with the people of California? Good weed never killed anyone, you can’t OD on it, it is far less toxic than alcohol and ties up law enforcement and court over nothing really. Oh well, reefer madness…………..

      • Tracy (w/out an 'E') aka mscarp says:

Amen again, Tuz. You and I could be besties for sure. Weed is grand and oh so helpful in a multitude of capacities. The fact that they didn’t pass the legislation to legalize it further reinforces my belief that California is back-asswards. Weed is bad, but Botox is good?! WTF ever.

  28. pantsonfire says:

Bio-Oil can be bought lots o places. I buy at Walgreens. They have their version half the cost and works just as well.

On to Kardashians- I watched True Holloywood Story. Kris was bf with Nicole and she thought OJ was guilty, and it tore their family apart (post divorce). Kris and kids were angry and showed up everyday of the trial b\c of Nicole. Kris is still angry that he defended OJ but understands why he did. But she felt guilty for Nicole and her family.

  29. Sardonica says:

…being the neurotic that I am I read it after posting and oh my…my…my. But in the interest of growing as a typoqueen I will not correct a thing. However, I do sincerely apologize. I type with a keyboard on my lap while I sit in the Lotus position. excuses, excuses.
