“Monster Quest” Is Bullshit

Hey History Channel – Why don’t you track the monsters, and then when and if you find something, you make a show out of it? Why the hell do I have to sit through 42 minutes of you guys setting traps and cameras and doing “investigations” just for you to throw you hands up after 2 days (2 fucking days!!!) of investigating and say “Oh well, I guess we’ll never know.”

What the hell is that? What kind of bullshit show is this? And what do present day monsters have to do with History anyway?

Just sayin.

Gotta wonder about those “shows”….my personal fav is “Destination Truth” on Syfy. Josh Gates is easy on the eyes and has a sense of humor about their investigations. What astounds me is where they go and what they do….me no way would I even consider diving into a cave at night, sitting in a little boat on a lake, treking through abandon nuclear accident sites! All I can say is someone has to do it, someone has to film it and I usually have to watch it….lol

Years and years ago, (1986) I made the mistake of watching The Mystery of Al Capone’s Vault. I will never forget Geraldo, sotto voce narrating as they set up equipment, gosh it seemed to be an hour of setting up equipment and then….Nothing.
What a waste of time and energy. The only mystery turned out to be, who thought it was worth airing. These shows strike me the same way, and yet, sadly, I still occasionally fall for them. I think the last one I watched was a search for the Loch Ness Monster. Spoiler alert. they didn’t find it.

Geraldo has said that that was the most embarrassing moment of his entire schizophrenic carreer. I have watched him go from being an anarchist to a liberal to an ultra conservative to ??????

Have they ever taken the show to New Jersey?

  3. Snappy says:

It’s the same crap as those ghost hunting shows. You sit through an hour of crap and they find nothing.

What happened to the Danielle Staub goes on the attack blog?

  5. Anonymous says:

WHY CANT THEY EVER FIND THE THINGS THAT THEY ARE SENT TO LOOK FOR? WHAT IS THE USE OF LOOKING FOR SOMETHING THAT THEY THE EXPERTS CANT EVEN FIND?

  6. Your Nightmare says:

And who really give’s a fuck about mindless housewives who serve no other purpose than to waste air…you can fix ugly, but you can’t fix stupid.

  7. Gary Smith says:

People are Always carrying Phones, IPods, why cant just One Person take a picture of what they want us to believe?? That is Proof for me it’s all lies.

  8. I just endured a group of completely uninformed idiots searching for an extinct monster bear. The only hard evidence was a skull from the early 1900’s. The History guys seemed certain these were the renains of the “monster bear”. Turns out to be the skull of a small young female brown bear. Surprise, no monster.
What really pissed me off were the “experts” giving all sorts of bear doomsday opinions implying that modern bears are out of control, growing to gargantuan proportions, becoming abnormally agressive, and on the verge of devouring our children. Almost every one of these imbeciles new next to nothing about bears. Their information consisted of pure ignorant speculation. Idiots. It appears the goal of the History channel is to scare rather than educate. Honestly, who is responsible for all this bull?
    Shame on you History Channel!
